Are you a Super Ball in a Closet?
Are you constantly busy?
Do you feel like you couldn’t possibly work any harder than you are already?
But, at the same time, do you get to the end of the day, look back and wonder what it was that you accomplished today?
If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, you may be suffering from “Super Ball in a Closet” Syndrome.
One of the ways I make sure that I am moving forward is to manage my To Do List and not let it manage me. You may recall from Change Your Thinking, Ignite Your Life, my Mantra, which is basically an outline or definition of my desired life.
Each day, I make sure that on my daily To Do List, there are certain activities that support the achievement of my desired life. I include activities like reading, so that I can continue to learn. I include exercise, so that I can continue to be healthy and extend my life. Meditation is another daily Activity for me that I use to be healthy and to remind myself of the elements of my Mantra.
None of these activities take too much time, but they are included as daily habits now and they help me stay on course for living my desired life.
So even on my busiest days, I am ensuring forward motion toward living my desired life. I am preventing myself from simply becoming a Super Ball, thrown into a closet, exerting a lot of energy, and making no progress.
