Why Write a Book?

So many people have asked me how I wrote “Change Your Thinking, Ignite Your Life: What Are You Telling Yourself?” but very few have asked why.

The reality is that the why drove the how. I had to have a strong enough “why” to make me want to find out “how”. Had my “why” not have existed then the how wouldn’t have mattered at all. Even if I know how to change my oil, that doesn’t mean I will do it without a strong “why”. And believe me, with 15 minute i=oil change places next to every mattress store and pizza place in town, I have not interest in a do-it-myself oil change. I have no “why”. Knowing the “how” doesn’t matter if I ask myself “why” would I want to do it?

Without a strong “Why” nothing can be accomplished. When we are motivated by a strong “why” it is amazing the things that we can achieve. That is why finding your “why” is so important. With a strong “why” you will be able to do more than if you are trying to do something that you have no passion to achieve.

My “why” was to help others and leave a legacy that would outlive me. Each is a very strong “why” but combined they made me find the “how”.

What’s your “why”? Find your “Why” and finding how will be easy!
